Today’s tea + soundtrack + visuals curated by Angela Saini.
Angela Saini fearlessly defies expectations and defines herself on her own terms. Hailing from a rich cultural background as an Indian-Austrian Canadian, she weaves her diverse influences into a tapestry of captivating crossover country-pop music. Angela’s artistic journey is a testament to unyielding positivity and empowering ideals, a path she paved through both incredible success and her darkest moments.
She sweeps listeners away with instantly memorable, toe-tapping pop infused with storyteller sing-alongs about courage and finding joy in surprising places. Her heartfelt new single, “SAY,” encourages honesty, allowing permission to express oneself without the fear of how the truth will land. The empowering and catchy anthem is the third release ahead of her sophomore album due early next year. Choosing to uplift herself and those around her, Angela offers a refreshing perspective in every moment.

Tea – CTRL+ALT+DEL by Pluck Tea
This is my favorite tea when I want to relax and have a delicious non-caffeinated drink. It’s super tasty with ginger, lemon and cranberry, and true to the name, really acts like a refresh without having the added caffeine. An extra bonus is that it’s a local Toronto company that hand-batch their tea selection. Highly recommended for when you want to chill with a book or listen to some music and unwind.
Music – “Love Feel” by Jenny Lewis
I’m a fan of her music, and this one is from her newest record. What I love about this song is the cool unique storytelling style, using phrases instead of narration, and the easy listening groove. The bass line makes me think of some of the classics of the 70s like Fleetwood Mac.
Visual (Cow in Flowers) – This one is a bit random but I recently saw this on Threads. This cow is just sitting in some pretty flowers, but when I saw it, something about it really made me stop and take it in. I just stared at it for a couple minutes (literally!) and I just felt this peace and tranquility. I highly recommend taking some time just to look at it. Take a few deep breaths, have some sips of tea, and see how peaceful and calm you feel. You’re welcome!
